Downtown

District anchored by Main and Mays streets

Downtown logo
When something is right, you feel it. This small but thriving Downtown is charming in a one-of-a-kind way that never feels cookie cutter or pretentious. It’s no big deal to find a place to park. Reservations aren’t required and if kids are part of your plans, there is plenty of family-friendly fun. This place is just fun. Casual. Welcoming. And so laid-back you may be tempted to kick off your shoes and join your kids in the interactive fountain.

Downtown Construction

  • May 26 Update
    • Due to weather delays, waterline work on W. Main Street is now slated to begin on Thursday or Friday of this week. Wastewater and street excavation crews will then follow.
    • Waterline crews will continue work on the west side of Mays working from north to south. A demolition and excavation crew is following immediately behind the waterline crew.
    • FYI-Construction will not flip to the east side of Mays for approximately four months.

Downtown is being redeveloped according to a Master Plan approved by the City Council in 2010. There are more than a dozen development projects underway in Downtown.

We have two park plazas in Downtown, where we host events like Music on Main Street and Chalk Walk. Our award-winning Public Library is in the heart of downtown on Main Street.

Downtown is also home to ArtSpace, operated by Round Rock Arts, which hosts regular exhibits.
