Round Rock Public Library presents Toddlertime on Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in room B. This reading activity is geared for ages 18 months to 3 years old. There are usually four or five books read each week with fingerplays and/or songs in between.

Babytime at the Library

Description:

The Round Rock Public Library presents Babytime, a program for babies and their parent or caregiver which encourages language development and learning through stories, rhymes, and music. Each week, there will be a different theme in which babies can take part in listening to stories, singing songs, and doing finger plays.

Babytime is featured weekly at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday and Fridays. Thursdays are for children from newborns to 12 months old. Fridays are for children from 12 to 18 months old.

No older siblings are allowed. The program is designed specifically for one caregiver and one baby. (Twins and triplets are exceptions.)

Learn Microsoft Word at the Library

NOTE: This month will be the final time teaching Microsoft Word 2003. In January, when the classes resume, we will teach Microsoft Word 2007.

The Round Rock Public Library offers an introduction to Microsoft Word in four sessions a month. Learn how to compose documents, use toolbars and menus, text entry and formatting techniques.

This is the fourth Word session of the month.

The class meets 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 10, 17, 24, in the first floor computer lab. The classes are taught sequentially; therefore, students who attend the first class are guaranteed a seat for the remaining classes.

Participation in computer classes is on a first-come, first-served basis. The computer lab doors will open 5 minutes before the start of the first class.

Library Closes early

The library will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, so that staff can start cooking turkeys! We will be closed Nov. 26 and 27 and will re-open at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28.

Fines are charged on holidays as well as on the days we are open. There are two book drops available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on the west side of the building.
