The library will be closed Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. We will open again on Tuesday, May 28 at 9 a.m.

Fines are charged on holidays as well as on the days we are open. There are two book drops available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on the west side of the building.

Mays's film will be The Revolutionary Optimists at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30 in Room B.

Amlan Ganguly is a visionary. The lawyer-turned-community activist is not only changing a neighborhood, but also changing the way its youngest residents envision their lives.

Filmed over the course of three and half years, The Revolutionary Optimists follows Amlan and three of the children he works with in a Calcutta slum neighborhood as they challenge the idea that marginalization is written into their destiny.
