The City of Round Rock and Stony Point Football Booster Club are sponsoring a community wide celebration of the 2008 Stony Point football season, which saw the Tigers reach the state semi-finals and earn their second consecutive district championship.

The event will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Dell Diamond. Admission is free. Gates open at 6 p.m.

Mayor Alan McGraw will emcee the event, which will feature an introduction of Stony Point coach Craig Chessher and the Tigers on the field, as well as a video highlighting the team’s season. Mayor McGraw and Williamson County Commissioner Ron Morrison will make a special presentation to the school.

The Tiger band, cheerleaders and dancers will participate in the event as well.
