City lifts Stage 2 water restrictions

The City of Round Rock lifted Stage 2 mandatory water restrictions on Friday, Oct. 23, as recent rains dramatically increased the water level at Lake Georgetown, our primary source of water.

As of Oct. 27, Lake Georgetown has risen to more than 98 percent full.

The City thanks those customers who took the time and effort to conserve water over the past several months to help get through the severe drought. As always, though, we ask everyone to be smart with their water usage and avoid any unnecessary and wasteful use of this natural resource.

Mandatory water restrictions were implemented on Aug. 25, as the severe drought and triple-digit temperatures reached their peak, and Lake Georgetown was less than half full.
