Learning to Speak English Made Easy
New ESL Resource Now Available in 24 Languages
The Round Rock Public Library offers a new resource for those wishing to learn English. Round Rock Public Libary card holders now have access to a 24 English as a Second Language audio compact discs sets. Each two volume set contains 1000 words that are commonly used in English and all translators are educated native speakers.
“We are happy that we are now better equipped to serve our users with library materials in the languages they need,” said Dale Ricklefs, Director of the Round Rock Public Library. “The new languages available represent some of the fastest-growing populations in our community including Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.”
The addition of this collection was made possible by a grant from the Round Rock Chaparral Women’s Club.
