Library Mystery Night performances April 10, 11, 17 and 18
Benefiting the Friends of the Round Rock Public Library
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Friends of the Round Rock Public Library, the Round Rock Public Library is pleased to present the 19th Annual Friends Mystery Night at the Library. Mystery Night is an audience participation event staged in three acts. Between the acts, the audience is encouraged to interact with the performers and try to solve the mystery for themselves.
This year’s play, written by Chip Hadley and entitled “Murder by the Book,” is full of nostalgia for that forgotten year in American history, 1980. Disco was dying while Pac Man mania swept the nation. Mt. Saint Helens erupted as the United States boycotted the summer Olympics in Moscow. The Empire Strikes Back owned the box office and Carter entered the final year of his presidency. "Murder by the Book" tells the story of Edmund Trumble, a product of his chaotic environment.
Performance dates
- Saturday, April 10, 17 at 7 p.m., $25
- Sunday, April 11 and 18 at 2:30 p.m., $15
Tickets are available now at the Round Rock Public Library.
The house will open half an hour before each performance and dinner and desserts will be served before the performance on Saturday; desserts will precede Sunday's performance.
