“Michelle has proven to be a talented administrator and it is a testament to the high caliber of our library staff that we are able to promote from within,” Norwood said. “Our library is recognized for its innovation and customer service and I know Michelle will continue those traditions.”
Prior to working in Round Rock, Cervantes had been employed by the Teacher Retirement System of Texas in 2005 and The Colony Public Library from 2001 to 2005. She holds a Master of Science degree from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University.
““Over the past 30 years, Dale, the library staff and volunteers have built a solid reputation for excellence,” Cervantes said. “I’ll do my best to take this library to the next level and meet the needs of this dynamic community.”
