Police investigating Aug. 26 bank robbery
Round Rock detectives are investigating the city’s first bank robbery of 2011, reported at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26.
According to witnesses, a suspect entered the JPMorgan Chase Bank branch at 920 N. IH 35, handed the teller a note demanding cash, then fled south on foot with an undisclosed amount of currency. No vehicle was seen. No weapon was displayed, and no injuries were reported.
Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, late 40s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a camouflage hunting cap, wire-rimmed glasses, plaid shirt and blue jeans. See photos from bank’s surveillance system (PDF).
