Police seeking Union State Bank robbery suspect and person of interest
Round Rock police on Jan. 4 are seeking a man who robbed the Union State Bank on E. Palm Valley.
At 9:32 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, a man entered the Union State Bank, 902 E. Palm Valley Blvd., approached a teller and demanded money. The teller complied with the suspect’s demand, and the suspect fled the bank with an undetermined amount of money.
The suspect was last seen walking north from the bank. The suspect is described as being a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5’10” to 6’0” in height, and weighing 180-190 pounds (see photo above). The suspect was wearing a black knit cap; blue jeans; and a short-sleeve, grey shirt over a long-sleeve, black shirt.
Person of Interest
The Round Rock Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest (right) who may have information related to the robbery. This person is described as a white male wearing a dark color hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
On Tuesday Jan. 3, at approximately 9 a.m. the person of interest entered the Union State Bank in Round Rock wearing sunglasses and a hood. Employees of the bank asked the individual to remove his glasses and hood, drawing attention to him.
He complied and asked for a deposit slip but left stating he could not remember his account number. The individual never returned. This same individual was seen hanging around across the street from the bank prior to the bank opening and then entered the bank right at opening.
