NEW VIDEO: Police seek assistance in jewelry store robbery
Information on suspect needed

Robbery suspectOn Monday, Feb. 18, at around 1:45 p.m. Round Rock Police responded to a robbery in progress call at QT Jewelry, 220 Sundance Parkway.

The Round Rock Police Department is asking for any information on the suspect. Surveillance video is available here and here (go to 15:14 on the second link to see suspect).

She is described as possibly an Asian female in her early 40’s. She has a very light skin complexion with a large mole on the left side of her face near the nose. She is reported to be about 5 feet, 2 inches and 5-4, weighing 130-150 pounds.

She was wearing a red knit hat, a white or off white sweat jacket with a hood, black shirt, black pants and prescription glasses (see photos).

Robbery suspectIt was also reported that she was driving a silver passenger car.

Witnesses reported a female entered the business and began browsing. A clerk approached and assisted her. After the suspect obtained possession of items that she selected from the store employee she placed what appeared to be a large plastic drinking cup on the counter. The suspect tried to flee, and struggled briefly with the employee. During the struggle, the cup was knocked over and onto to the floor spilling its contents. The suspect quickly ran to the front door and tried to exit but the door had been locked. The female went back to the counter and lit a fire using the spilled contents. As employees extinguished the fire, the female suspect ran behind the counter and exited the back door.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery and the suspect to contact the Round Rock Police Department (512) 218-5500 or report an anonymous tip to 847411 using the password RRPD.
