Express at home through June 3

City-owned Dell Diamond is a true multi-purpose sports and entertainment complex, hosting Express games, concerts, expos and festivals, among other events.

Dell Diamond is leased by Ryan Sanders Baseball. The City funded its portion of construction costs with bonds backed by hotel-motel revenues.

Eight-game homestand began May 27

The Round Rock Express returned home Tuesday, May 27, for an eight-game homestand at Dell Diamond. The Express will play four games with the New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins affiliate) before welcoming the Omaha Storm Chasers (Kansas City Royals) to conclude the stand with another four-game series.

Come on down and join Ballpark Rob Barker for another fun Winning Wednesday, presented by the Texas Lottery. Also on Wednesday, fans can help Strike Out Hunger by bringing two H-E-B branded canned food items to exchange for a free lawn ticket with all proceeds benefitting Capital Area Food Bank.

Don’t miss the return of The Original Thirsty Thursday on May 29 with discounted draft beers and $1 sodas, presented by Firetrol Protection Services.

Enjoy Bud Light Friday Fireworks to help celebrate the last day of school and come right back out on Saturday to receive a reusable grocery bag, presented by H-E-B.

Former Longhorn great Vince Young will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Saturday’s game.

Sunday is H-E-B Kid’s Day at the ballpark and all children 12 and under will receive a free T-shirt from RockSports.

The first Summer Activities Expo will be held in the United Heritage Center on $1 hot dog and soda night (Mrs. Baird’s) Monday, June 2 before the homestand will come to a close with another half-price ticket Tuesday night, thanks to A+ Federal Credit Union.

All games start at 7:05 p.m. with exception of Sunday, in which the suspended game will resume at 4:30 p.m. Game two will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Express games are broadcast on The Horn 104.9 FM and steamed live online at www.hornfm.com.

  • Wednesday, May 28 | 7:05 p.m. | Express vs. New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins) Strike Out Hunger – trade two H-E-B branded canned food items for a free lawn ticket. All donations benefit Capital Area Food Bank. Winning Wednesday presented by the Texas Lottery – all in-game promotions will be modeled after some of your favorite game shows.
  • Thursday, May 29 | 7:05 p.m. | Express vs. New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins) The Original Thirsty Thursday presented by Firetrol – discount draft beer and $1 sodas, Barefoot Wine Tasting

About Dell Diamond

Dell Diamond has been the home of the Round Rock Express since its inception in 2000. The stadium serves as a premier Central Texas destination and is constantly ranked among the top in Minor League Baseball. In 2006 and 2007 it was named the Top Minor League Park by Minor League News and came in second place in voting in 2008, behind Ryan Sanders Baseball's own Whataburger Field, home of the Corpus Christi Hooks (AA-affiliate, Houston Astros).
