Public information meeting on proposed new historic landmarks and district

In Phases I and II of the Historic Resources Survey, a number of properties in the Downtown Master Plan area were identified as meriting historic designation. Phase II of the Survey also identified an area with a concentration of designated properties and suggested designating it as a new "East End" historic district. The City is currently contacting property owners to find out whether there is public support for designating additional historic landmarks or the potential historic district.

At the September 17, 2013 Historic Preservation Commission meeting there will be a presentation about the possibility of designating the new historic landmarks and district, immediately followed by a public information meeting. You are invited to meet with City staff members, view maps, receive take-home information, and ask questions. Please refer to the Historical Resource Survey page for more information.

For questions concerning this project, contact Senior Planner Joelle Jordan at 512-218-5422, or at the Department of Planning and Development Services, 301 W. Bagdad Avenue, Suite 210. Para informaciĆ³n en espaƱol por favor llame al 512-218-5428.
