Resident slightly injured in house fire caused by propane tank explosion

Around 5:01 p.m. Sunday, April 6, the Round Rock Fire Department received a report of a propane tank that exploded in a garage at a single family home at 2008 James Place.

Everyone was out of the house when firefighters arrived to find a heavy fire in the garage. The fire has been contained, but crews remain on the scene at 9:25 p.m. Arson investigators are also on the scene.

A resident had minor burn wounds on his hands, but refused transport to a hospital.

No estimate on the amount of damage is available at this time.
