2-6-Teen Gaming Tournament a success

The Round Rock Public Library held its first Gaming Tournament for Teens on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007. A fantastic crowd of over 100 people attended. Fans and family members cheered for gamers, and 40 teens entered the tournament. Jack Pattillo, from Aspyr - a local gaming company, provided exciting color commentary.
Contestants played Mario Kart Double Dash to battle their way through the bracketed tournament. Winners were: Kevin Snyder, 1st Place; John Michael Contreras, 2nd Place; Jared Hurd, 3rd Place, and Dylan Rodriguez, 4th Place.
Other gamers enjoyed open play on Super Smash Brothers' Melee and PS2's Dance Dance Revolution.
More Saturday tournaments are planned for October 13th, November 17th, December 1st. A Grand Finale will take place on December 29th.
