The Communications Division develops internal and external communications, assists managing citizen participation initiatives and oversees special events.

The Communication Division manages the City’s website; social media outlets Facebook, Twitter, You Tube and Flickr; develops the monthly News Flash (PDF) newsletter inserted in utility bills; produces public service announcements and other programming for the City’s Government Access Channels, Time Warner channel 10 and ATT Uverse channel 99; oversees the publication of e-newsletters, the employee newsletter; and oversees the City's biennial customer service survey.

The Communications Director handles media relations for most departments.
