The Transportation Services Department uses a comprehensive approach to plan, design, construct, expand, rehabilitate, inspect, maintain and repair the City's transportation infrastructure, which includes local/residential streets, collector streets, arterial roadways, traffic signals, signs, markings and the City's fleet of vehicles.  The need for transportation infrastructure is driven by the growth and development in the City and the region.  To meet this need, Transportation Services has developed a mission statement and key goals that expand on the City's strategic goals.

The Transportation Services Department consists of three divisions:  

• Engineering and Administration
• Streets, Traffic Signals, Drainage, Signs and Markings
• Vehicle Maintenance Facility
