New development tracking system The City of Round Rock has recently implemented an automated system for tracking land development, construction and building permits and code enforcement activities. This system is accessible by project applicants or their representatives, and the general public through our Land Development and Permit eSystem. This on-line system will allow users to see the progress of development projects, access review comments, schedule inspections and more.  For more information contact:  landdevhelp@roundrocktexas.gov

The Building Inspection Division is responsible for the inspection of all construction in the City to ensure compliance with ordinances, building codes and applicable specifications.

Currently the City of Round Rock is under the 2012 International Building Code (ICC) which includes the Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Code. The City has also adopted the 2011 National Electric Code (NEC). Local amendments to the 2011 NEC can be found in the City's ordinances. All adopted ICC Codes are available for purchase through the International Code Council web site or they may be viewed at the library.
