The Clay Madsen Recreation Center  offers a variety of after school programs, preschool programs, day camps and sports camps for children of all ages.  See below for specific information for each program.

After School/Pre-school Site Programs

The Kids' Clubhouse Afterschool Program
The Clay Madsen Recreation Center’s Kid’s Clubhouse Afterschool Program provides activities that will make lasting memories for your child. The programs features arts and crafts, cooking, games and more.  All activities are based on weekly themes from “Blasting off Back to School” to “Fall into Fall” to “Movin’ and Groovin’ into Summer.” 

The Kids’ Clubhouse will provide transportation from Voigt, Callison, Gattis, Blackland Prairie and Forest Creek Elementary Schools.  If your child attends another school, and you can provide transportation, they are welcome to be a part of the Kids Clubhouse program.  
 
All registrations for the Kids’ Clubhouse Program will take place at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center Administration Office, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Registration for the 2014-2015 School Year will begin Monday, July 7, 2014. Registration will remain open until all spaces are filled.

Counselor in Training Middle School Afterschool Program
The Counselor in Training (CIT) program is an afterschool program for children in grades 6-8. This program runs through the regular school year.

We will provide a snack and daily activities including homework time, small and large group activities, sports, arts and crafts, and much more! In addition the CITs will assist in special events and go on a monthly field trip.

The CIT program will provide transportation from C.D. Fulkes and Ridgeview Middle School. If your child attends another school, and you can provide transportation, they are welcome to be a part of the CIT program.

All registrations for the Counselor in Training Middle School Program will take place at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center Administration Office, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Registration for the 2014-2015 School Year will begin Monday, July 7, 2014.  Registration will remain open until all spaces are filled.

Toddler Treehouse Preschool Program
The Clay Madsen Recreation Center Toddler Treehouse Preschool Program is an annual developmental program that offers children ages 3-5 years an opportunity to explore and learn. 

Activities include hands on crafts, cooking, games, tactile learning activities and fun field trips.  Each Toddler Treehouse participant must be completely bathroom independent.  Morning snack is provided; each Treehouse participant must bring a sack lunch daily.

  • Ages 3’s and 4’s on Tuesdays/Thursdays 
  • Ages 4’s and 5’s on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays

Program time is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    
All registrations for the Toddler Treehouse Program will take place at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center Administration Office, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Registration for the 2014-2015 School Year will begin Monday, July 7, 2014.  Registration will remain open until all spaces are filled.

Parent’s Night Out
Every second Friday of the month is Parent Night Out. Parents get the chance to go out, while the kids get to enjoy games, activities, movies and much more! Food and snack will be provided. Parent Night Out takes place at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center. For ages 4-12 years.

Seasonal Camps

Thanksgiving Camp
Gobble up some fun at our Thanksgiving camp! Every day at camp is a new adventure. The daily adventures will be filled with indoor and outdoor games, sports, cooking, arts and crafts, and field trips! Please bring a sack lunch and water bottle daily. Morning and afternoon snack is provided. For ages 4-12 years.

This program operates Monday-Wednesday: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Kinningham Park, during the established Round Rock School District Thanksgiving Week.

Holiday Camp
Join us this winter for some exciting holiday fun! From swimming, baking, sports activities, arts and crafts, field trips and much more! Each day has a special theme, so gear up and get ready. You won’t want to miss out on all of the surprises! Please bring a sack lunch and water bottle daily. Morning an afternoon snack is provided. Sign up for bundles or individual days. For ages 4-12 years.

This program operates Monday, Tuesday and Friday: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Kinningham Park during the established Round Rock School District Winter Break Weeks.

Spring Break Camp
Spring into a week of camp with us! This camp will offer a week full of games, field trips, sports, arts and crafts, swimming and loads of fun. Campers must bring a sack lunch each day. Morning and afternoon snack is provided. For ages 4-12 years.

This program operates Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Kinningham Park during the established Round Rock School District Spring Break Week.
