
About the Community Development Advisory Commission
The Community Development Advisory Commission (CDAC) represents the interests of low-to-moderate-income citizens of Round Rock, and makes recommendations to City Council on issues relating to funding community development projects, programs and sub-grants with funds from HUD's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and other sources. Duties include identifying the city’s housing and community development needs, identifying funding priorities and allocation amounts, reviewing and recommending Five Year Consolidated Plans and One Year Action Plans (referred to as Community Development Action Plans).
Meetings
The CDAC holds at least one regularly scheduled meeting each quarter. Check the online calendar or the 2009 CDAC meeting schedule for upcoming meetings. Typically, the CDAC meets at 6:30 p.m. the first Thursday of the month in City Council Chambers at City Hall, 221 E. Main Street. Meetings are also broadcast live on Cable Channel 10.
Membership Requirements
There are seven regular members of the CDAC. Commissioners must reside in low-to-moderate-income census block groups, represent low-to-moderate-income individuals, and/or have an interest in low-to-moderate-income issues. Commissioners must live within the city limits of Round Rock.
