This list is provided by the City of Round Rock's Environmental Services Department to assist residents to dispose of their electronics properly. The department assumes no responsibility for the individuals or organizations listed and makes no recommendations or approvals.
Electronic Recycling Options
Do you have an outdated computer, old cell phone, VCR or other small electronic item gathering dust in your home or office? The sources below may be able to recycle your discards. Make sure to ask about fees.
Best Buy Recycling Program
Local Best Buy Store
- Items accepted include televisions and monitors up to 32 inches, computer CPUs, noteboos, small electronics, VCR and DVD players as well as computer accessories.
- Consumers may bring up to two units per day, per household, for recycling to any Best Buy store.
- A $10 recycling fee per unit will be charged for itmes with screens (e.g., televisions, laptops and monitors). However, the consumer will instantly receive a $10 Best Buy gift card in exchange for the recycling fee.

- Televisions: EPSI accepts the following brands for free: Sony, LG, Zenith and Goldstar
- Computers, other electronics and other brands of televisions are accepted for a fee of $0.35 per pound.

- All Goodwill stores accept used electronics and computers at no charge
- Televisions: Goodwill accepts the following brands for free: Panasonic, Toshiba and Sharp. Other working and non-working models may be accepted.

Cell Phones, Rechargeable Batteries and Printer Cartridges
The City of Round Rock Drop-off Recycling Center accepts used cell phones, rechargeable batteries, as well as inkjet and laser printer cartridges for recycling. The recycling center is located at 310 Deepwood Drive in Round Rock.
