Do you want to see more trails in Round Rock? Do you like the parks? What’s an amenity you’d like to see in Round Rock?
The City of Round Rock to host a series of open houses in February for citizen feedback for the Parks and Recreation Department's Strategic Master Plan.
Open houses begin on Wednesday, February 6 and continue on Tuesdays and Wednesday throughout the month of February at various City facilities and schools.
"Now is a crucial time for us to obtain citizen feedback because we are planning the direction for the parks and recreation department for the next several years," director, Rick Atkins said. "We need feedback to confirm we're adding parks and amenities that our citizens desire."
The project began with a phone survey to 400 households in November and individual discussions with Round Rock City Council members for their opinions about parks and recreation. In addition, the project will include focus group meetings with homeowner’s associations and citizen groups.
At the open houses, the Parks and Recreation Department will show participants the current amenities in the city and gather input on desired improvements and additions.
