City dog park

Rules | Special Events | Hours of Operation and Location | Pictures

Note: Area 3 of the Dog Depot will be closed as of Nov. 9, 2009, until the winter rye grass grows in sufficiently.

Photo by khowaga1The 1.85 acre Round Rock Dog Depot is a leash free area for dogs in the city limits.  The fenced park, opened on March 29, 2008, features agility elements such as a tire jump, A-frame contact ramp, and a tunnel. There is ample open space as well for running and playing.

The park has 3 areas: a large dog area, a small dog (under 40 lbs.) area and a rotation area to allow for grass regrowth and general maintenance to the park. The park has winding, sally-port entrances to make it harder for dogs to escape when entering and exiting the dog park.  Restrooms are located at the Lake Creek Park pavilion outside of the dog park (in front of the pool).  Dog Park Layout (PDF)

Please keep the park clean and use the dog waste receptacles provided. Hand sanitizer stations are located at the entrances and exits.

Rules:
For a full list of all park rules, download the Park Rules (PDF).

  • No food (dog or human), glass or metal containers, skateboarding, rollerblading, skating, bicycles, etc. in the dog park (this includes treats).
  • Aggressive dogs are not permitted in the dog park.
  • All dogs must be vaccinated and have a Round Rock license.
  • Use of the park is at your own risk.

For information on city licenses and registration, please see Round Rock Animal Control.
