Operation Blue Santa is a non-profit organization that was established in 1978 for the purpose of providing food and toys to underprivileged families at Christmas time. Blue Santa is funded entirely by the Community in the form of generous donations from businesses, schools and individuals. The work to collect, wrap and deliver the toys is organized and accomplished by the members of the Round Rock Police Department and community volunteers.

In the first year, fewer than twenty families were served. Every year the numbers have increased and currently over 1,600 individuals, families, and seniors are served by receiving food cards and toys.

The program also builds and reinforces partnerships among the Departments, local businesses, community and numerous volunteers that make the program a success.
