Project Information
Funding was approved for the construction of a recreation center in the third Issuance of the 2001 Bond election. It was determined that the new recreation center would be built on the west side of Round Rock to allow residents west of IH 35 access to recreational facilities without having to cross IH 35.
Through many neighborhood meetings and open houses, the Deepwood site became the best location for a new recreation center. It's proximity to the existing Miki Krebsbach Pool and existing parking space allowed the City to focus on the amenities that would be provided by the recreation center.
