
Clay Madsen Recreation Center Programs
The Clay Madsen Recreation Center offers a variety of fitness and wellness programs to our members.
Personal Training
Our trainers can help you achieve your fitness goals with an individualized personal workout. All participants must be 16 years or older. Each session is one hour. Personal Training is available to members only. Sign up at the Rec Center Front Desk. Members can get a free 30 minute consultation.

- 5 Sessions -- $150
- 10 Sessions -- $280
- 20 Sessions -- $530
Weight Room Certification
This class certifies 14 and 15 year olds who wish to workout in the Rec Center weight room without a parent or guardian. Participants learn weight room rules, learn proper weight room etiquette and basic training techniques. Members 14 and 15 years old must complete this class to workout by themselves in the weight room. Call the Rec Center at 218-3220 to set up an appointment.
Appointments are generally scheduled between 6 and 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
Fee: $10
Boot Camp Training
This class consists of four weeks of fitness that will focus on losing body fat, strength, flexibility and cardiovascular exercise. Combining the use of body weight resistance, plyometrics and cardio, this class will work your entire body. Level: Beginner to Advanced. Ages 15 and up.
Days: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Times: 5:30 to 6:30 a.m.
Where: Clay Madsen Recreation Center – Gym
Fee: Ranges from $40 to $60 a session Register
Jazzercise
This 60 minute class held at the Baca Center offers a blend of jazz dance and exercise set to favorite music - Top 40, jazz, country, funk and classics. Easy-to-follow, fun choreography includes a gentle warm up, 30-minute aerobic workout, muscle toning and strengthening segment with weights and a stretch finale. Classes are held continuously throughout the year and you can start anytime!

Yoga Classes
The Clay Madsen Recreation Center offers a variety of yoga classes for different skill levels and fitness goals.
Vinyasa Yoga
This class focuses on body awareness, improved posture, flexibility and strength. Benefits include reduced physical and mental tension and calmness and concentration skills. All levels welcome. A sticky yoga mat is required and can be purchased in class for $15.
Better Backs Yoga
Classic yoga poses are used to strengthen the back muscles, abdominal muscles and to move the spine through its range of motion. This class focuses on body alignment, flexibility and strength. Topics covered include: proper sleeping, sitting, standing and lifting postures. A sticky yoga mat is required for class. Mats may be purchased in class for $15. Instructor: Debra King-Isaacs. Ages 18 & up.
Core Power Yoga
This dynamic class focuses on building and strengthening the abdominal core using intermediate level yoga poses. Since this is a comprehensive class, students are encouraged to have a basic understanding of yoga postures before the class. A sticky yoga mat is required and may be purchased in class for $15. Instructor: Debra King-Isaacs. Ages 18 & up.
Group Exercise Classes
Drop-in group exercise classes at the Rec Center are free to members. Non-members must pay the punch card rate of $5/class or punch card options. Participants must be 16 years old. 14 and 15 year olds may attend with a parent/guardian in the class.

Abs n' Core: Strengthen your entire core in this 30 minute class. This class uses a variety of techniques and exercises to target your abdominal core, obliques and back. All levels welcome.
Body Sculpting: Strengthen muscles in this high energy strength endurance class that works the legs, arms, back and abdominals. A total body workout that uses weights, bands, balls and other small equipment to keep the body strong and healthy. All levels welcome.
Circuit Training: Challenge your body! This class uses a combination of circuit exercises and plyometrics to get you into shape. Class is geared toward intermediate to advanced participants.
Kickboxing: Come to this high energy, fun class that uses punching and kicking techniques to ensure an awesome aerobic workout. Class is geared toward intermediate to advanced level participants.
Mat Pilates: This class increases your energy level, muscle tone and flexibility while improving your core strength and posture. It is based on the classical pilates principles and movement sequence. Emphasis on abdominal strengthening. All levels welcome.
Pilates Plus: This class is a total body workout. It uses pilates matwork and incorporates weights, bands, balls and other small equipment to make the class more challenging. Postural alignment, coordination and strength will be attained. All levels welcome.
Zumba: A fusion of Latin dance rhythms featuring interval training sessions using fast and slow sessions. This sensation is the fastest growing fitness aerobic trend. For all levels.
