The City of Round Rock maintains more than 1,150 lane miles of roads. To improve the condition of roadways, the City has a Street Maintenance Program to monitor road conditions and systematically repair and overlay those many miles of streets. The work includes pavement and concrete repairs and milling and asphalt overlays.
The current locations slated for repair are noted in the map above.
The City tracks and evaluates the condition of our road system through a computerized pavement management system, which provides an inventory of roads, pavement condition data and pavement performance history. The system identifies what work needs to be done to provide the most cost-effective management of road system pavements. Streets receive a condition rating and priority rating, so the City can maintain those roadways most in need in a timely manner.
