Why?
To reduce noise in neighborhoods that are adjacent to Railroad Crossings.

What?
Conduct analysis to identify safety improvements needed for at-grade rail crossing.  Construction projects have been identified and working on the Environmental clearance.

Where?
The Union Pacific Railroad in Round Rock from CR 172 to Red Bud Lane.

When?
Summer of 2012 Preliminary Engineering completed and submitted to Union Pacific Railroad. Coordination with Union Pacific Railroad and TxDot ongoing. Construction to begin Feb 2015.

  • Budget - $3,100,000 (includes $1,600,000 in Federal grants)

  • Engineer - Brown and Gay Engineers
