Reading out loud can be intimidating to new readers. For a motivating change of pace, treat your new readers to some fun readlaoud time in our Bow Wow, Read to a Dog program.
Bow Wow, a partnership between the Round Rock Public Library and the Austin Dog Alliance, is open to children from pre-school through 8th grade. Most months, Bow Wow is available the first and third Saturdays from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Please check our calendar for details.
Pre-registration is required. Reading slots are 10 minutes long.
Bow Wow reading dogs are registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owners/handlers as a team.
Find sign-up sheets at the Children's Desk, or contact Virginia Hadley, 512-218-3279, for more information.
