The City of Round Rock, Round Rock Arts and Round Rock Ballet Folklorico will be sponsoring a Dia de los Muertos procession and festival from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 in downtown Round Rock. Dia de los Muertos is a traditional Meso-American holiday dedicated to the ancestors; it honors both death and the cycle of life.
Festivities begin at Prete Main Street Plaza, 221 E. Main St. at 3 p.m. Procession begins at 5 p.m. at Centennial Plaza, 301 W. Bagdad. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to dress up and join the procession to be part of the celebration.
