Participate in the Dia de los Muertos Procession on Nov. 2
The City of Round Rock, Round Rock Arts and Round Rock Ballet Folklorico will be sponsoring a Dia de los Muertos procession and festival from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 in downtown Round Rock. Dia de los Muertos is a traditional Meso-American holiday dedicated to the ancestors; it honors both death and the cycle of life.
Procession begins at 6 p.m. at Centennial Plaza, 301 W. Bagdad. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to dress up and join the procession to be part of the celebration.
The City is seeking costume participants for the Procession. No vehicles will be allowed in the Procession. We would like costumes in the following categories:
Frida Kahlo look-alikes
Sugar skull painted faces
2013 Dia de los Muertos Revelers Sign Up
