Responding to emergencies is a high priority at the Round Rock Fire Department. Firefighters study their district and make knowing the fastest route to any neighborhood a priority. That's why we're working towards ensuring our coverage meets national standards. The national standard for drive time to an emergency is 4 minutes or less, 90% of the time. In 2011, we responded in 4 minutes or less 59% of the time.
