
Finance Administration provides information about the financial status of the City in Round Rock's financial reports. It also provides information about the City's Hotel Occupancy, sales and property taxes.
Under the leadership of the Finance Director and Controller, Finance Administration implements the financial policies for the City of Round Rock, including the collection of hotel tax, auditing, accounting, budget, treasury and capital project programs.

The City of Round Rock Hotel/Motel tax rate is 9 percent of net receipts.

Who must file?
If you are a sole owner, partnership, corporation, or other organization that owns, operates, manages, and/or controls any hotel, motel, "bed and breakfast Inn;" or other locations offering "sleeping rooms" for periods of less than 30 days in the City of Round Rock.
When do I file the report?
Monthly: Last day of the month following the end of the reporting month.
A report must be filed for every period, even if there is no amount subject to tax or tax due.

The tax rate for FY2012-2013 is 42.035 cents per $100 assessed value.
Property taxes are billed in October of each year, but they do not become delinquent until Feb. 1 of the next year.
