Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a program that allows us to share resources with other libraries in the United States.
This service is available to Round Rock Library card holders only. TexShare card holders must request interlibrary loans from their home libraries.
Start by searching our catalog for the item you want. If we do not own it, you have the following choices to request an Interlibrary Loan:
Interlibrary loan policies and restrictions
You may request books, microfilms, or photocopies of journal articles. You must have a valid Round Rock Public Library card (after probation period); be at least 16 years old; and owe no fines.
You may have THREE active requests at one time. If you have already asked for 3 items, please do not make any more requests until you return one or more of your 3 items. You may request a maximum of 1 audio-visual item (videos, CDs, VHS, audiobook, DVDs). When you return an A-V item, you may request another one.
We do not charge a fee for ILL services, but you may have to pay for return postage, depending on which library loans us the item.
Please do not request: current best sellers or books located in foreign countries.
