Commander Alain BabinThe Criminal Investigations Division is under the command of Commander Alain Babin. The division has 35 investigators and two civilian employees whom investigate all manner of crimes, both misdemeanor and felony. Seven specialized units provide investigators in the field with a vast and diverse array of technical expertise.

The Criminal Investigations Division strives to investigate and solve crimes in a timely manner with positive outcome for the citizens and businesses of Round Rock.

  • forensic examination of evidence and photographic service

Lieutenant Ben Hall

Sergeants and Investigators in the Criminal Investigations Division's general assignments units report to and are under the supervision of Lieutenant Ben Hall. Lieutenant Hall coordinates activities between investigative units and support units and ensures that resources are allocated appropriately depending on the type and priority of the investigation. These units include the Property Crimes, Person Crimes, Domestic Crimes, and White Collar Crimes Units.
