Baca Center Exercise RoomBaca Center Weight Room
Come check out the most up-to-date equipment at the Baca Center Weight Room. The weight room contains treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, machine weights and free weights.  The weight room is open during the Baca Center's regular business hours.  Participants must be 21 years or older to be eligible for a Baca Weight Room Membership.

Weight Room Hours:
Monday & Wednesday: 8 a.m.-7:15 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday: 8 a.m.-8:45 p.m.
Friday:   8 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m.-11:45 a.m.

Weight Room Orientation
The Baca Center requires NEW memberships with weight room to take our weight room orientation class. This class is free and is required prior to using the weight room. You need to call 512-218-5499 AFTER you purchase your membership to schedule the orientation.

Group Exercise Classes For Seniors

Tickets for Group Exercise Classes will be handed out 30 minutes before class starts. Check in and receive your ticket at the Baca Center front desk. You may not receive tickets for multiple classes at one time. Baca members must present their membership card to validate a current membership. ALL Group exercise classes require the Baca Center membership WITH THE WEIGHT ROOM beginning January 2013. Baca non-members or without the weight room will pay the drop-in rate of $3/class. There must be a minimum of 4 participants in class. If class minimums are not met, class will be cancelled. No participants can enter class 5 minutes after the start. Appropriate exercise clothing is required, including non-marking athletic shoes. Baca staff reserves the right to decide on conduct issues and enforce policies. | Download printable schedule

Cardio Combo
Each class consists of a low impact aerboic workout, resistance training, and stretching. 

Tuesdays:  9 a.m.-10 a.m.
Thursdays: 9 a.m.-10 a.m.
                 10:15 a.m.-11:15 a.m.

Belly Dancing
This non-stop multi-level class is great for those looking for a fun and empowering Belly Dance experience. The movements involved will sculpt and firm your body, while increasing your stamina and grace, all without stress and fatigue. Belly Dance also promotes weight loss by burning calories, building muscle. All ages 50+ and body types welcome, so come join us for an exciting, new experience that will leave you coming back for more!

Fridays: 9 a.m.-9:45 a.m.

Series of fitness moves specifically designed to use the exciting Latin and International dance rhythms. 

Wednesdays: 10:15 a.m.-11:15 a.m.
Saturdays: 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Strength Training
This class strengthens your entire body. This 45-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls.

Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30 a.m.-9:15 a.m. & 9:30 a.m.-10:15 a.m.

Baca Center Personal Training
Our Personal Training program can help you achieve your fitness goals.  Personal trainers will individualize a workout for you. All participants must register through the office. Each session is one hour and is for members only.

This 60 minute class held at the Baca Center & Clay Madsen Recreation Center offers a blend of jazz dance and exercise set to  favorite music - Top 40, jazz, country, funk and classics. Easy-to-follow, fun choreography includes a gentle warm up, 30-minute aerobic workout, muscle toning and strengthening segment with weights and a stretch finale. Classes are held continuously throughout the year and you can start anytime!
