5K for Clay
The 5K for Clay is a fun run/walk for everyone held in August at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center.


Christmas Family Night
In December, Christmas Family Night is a free event celebrating the spirit of the season with activities for the entire family in historic Downtown Round Rock.  


Daddy-Daughter Dance
Just in time for Valentine's Day in February, Dads can enjoy a special dance with their daughters at the Daddy-Daughter Dance with refreshments, dance contest and professional pictures.

Spend the Night in Old Settlers Park. Join us for the Family Campout and National

Hunting and Fishing Day.



Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt
In spring, the Easter Bunny hops by for Round Rock's Flashlight Easter Egg Hunts, at Old Settlers Park. Enjoy a Movie in the Park after the hunts.



Fall Fun Festival
The Fall Fun Festival in October is a fun and free event for toddlers and preschoolers with carnival games, a hayride and more. Come in your Halloween costume!




July 4/Frontier Days Celebration
Our July 4/Frontier Days Celebration includes a parade, watermelon and fireworks.




Movies in the Park
Parks and Recreation Department presents popular movies during the year with Movies in the Park.


Muddy Miler Family Adventure
The Muddy Miler Family Adventure is a mud run for the entire family! Be warned! You will get muddy from head to toe during this adventure at Old Settlers Park. Round Rock the Boat Regatta takes place right after the Muddy Miler Family Adventure.

Night Rider Family Bike Ride

The Night Rider Family Bike Ride is a non-competitive family bike ride and Block Party at night through the beautiful areas of Round Rock. Night Rider is a fun ride and party, not a race. Bicyclists will be allowed to ride at their own safe pace.




Outlaw Trail 100 Cycling Tour
Tour historic Williamson County in October during the Outlaw Trail 100 Cycling Tour with courses ranging from 10 to 100 miles.



Rock'N Lights Holiday Light Tour and Christmas Towne
Come and experience 2 million lights, 1 1/2 mile path, one must see event of the holiday season! Rock'N Lights is a drive-thru holiday light tour at Old Setttlers Park featuring a Christmas Towne at the Old Settlers Association.



Reindeer Run
The Rotary Club of Round Rock Sunrise and the Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department present the Reindeer Run, a 5K fun run to raise money for building a Play for All Abilities Park in Round Rock for children with cognitive or physical challenges.




Rockin' Around the Holidays Bazaar
The annual Rockin’ Around the Holidays Bazaar at Clay Madsen Recreation Center offers more than 90 vendors for holiday shopping in early November.



Shaylah 5k Spunky Run & 1k Inspiration Walk
Shaylah 5k Spunky Run & 1k Inspiration Walk honors Shaylah Dame and the Shaylah Dame Skatepark. Celebrate Shaylah’s passion for life and love by participating in the benefit driven 1K Inspiration Walk, 5K Fun Run/Walk or both.

Touch a Truck
Touch a Truck provides a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types – public service, emergency, utility, construction, transportation, delivery and just plain cool – all in one place.
