Help for caregivers of those suffering from Alzheimer's
The Round Rock Police Department is dedicated to helping the Alzheimer’s Association by providing education to patients, caregivers, professionals, and community members who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Anyone who cares for an Alzheimer's patient knows that "wandering" is a constant concern. Alzheimer's patients can become easily disoriented and confused about their whereabouts. The Safe Return program helps us reunite a wandering patient with their families or caregivers.
This program is under the direction of Officer Roddy Adcock, who has been trained by the Alzheimer's Association- Capital of Texas Chapter. He can give you step-by-step instructions about how to register your loved one(s) with Safe Return, make home visits, and complete and deliver all necessary paperwork to the Alzheimer's Association.
For more information on this program, please feel free to contact Officer Adcock by phone or via email.
