
The Round Rock Police Organized Crime Unit is assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. The unit's officers work with numerous local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and are highly trained in a myriad of investigative and policing techniques.
The following is a list of the primary functions of the Organized Crime Unit:
- Investigations involving specific crime patterns in the community
- Complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations
- Conduct and coordinate "sting" operations targeting thefts, burglaries, robberies and alcohol-related offenses
- Inter-divisional investigative support (Narcotics, CID and Patrol)
- Warrant extraditions
