The City Clerk is primarily responsible for compiling and publishing the City Council agendas, attending each meeting of the City Council, and maintaining a record of accurate minutes of the proceedings. Completed minutes can be found on Round Rock Replay and are usually available 2 to 3 weeks after a meeting has occured.
In addition, the City Clerk is the custodian of all official city records, which includes, but is not limited to ordinances, resolutions, contracts, easements, deeds of city owned property, and the designated Records Manager of the City.
This office also oversees publications and postings of legal notices and agendas of all Boards and Commissions of the City as well as monitoring and manages the terms and attendance of all board and commission members, coordinates municipal elections, and reviews and approves TABC applications as well as issues local alcoholic beverage permits.
The City Clerk's office also oversees the publication and codification of the City's Code of Ordinances, and also provides information maintained by and for the City in accordance with requirements established by law in the Texas Public Information Act. The Council Meetings are held the second and fourth Thursday of the month and the agendas are posted at City Hall and on the website at least 72 hours in advance of a meeting per the Texas Open Meetings Act.
