Seton Healthcare Family presents a Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Education Workshop from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Seton Administrative Offices in Austin.
Cost is $10 for patients and caregivers and $35 for healthcare providers.
This one day conference is for people with COPD, their families, friends and caregivers as well as healthcare providers that work with people that have this chronic lung disease.
This program will provide a day of education and socialization with physicians, and other medical professionals speaking on the latest information on COPD management and research.
Exhibitors will be available to provide information on community resources. Those that wear supplemental oxygen should bring enough for a six hour program. If backup oxygen is required, patients must bring a copy of their prescription and indicate the need during registration. Volunteers will be available to assist those that need it.
The cost of registration includes valet parking, continental breakfast, and a buffet lunch.
Nurses and respiratory therapists will receive 4 contact hours for continuing education if they attend the full program.
