Fireworks and Frontier Days Celebration

The July 4 Fireworks display has been rescheduled to take place in conjunction with the Parks and Recreation Department and Time Warner Cable's presentation of Planet 51 (Lakeview Pavilion) and The Spy Next Door (Virg Rabb Pavilion) for Movies in the Park. All the festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 16 at Old Settlers Park.

The “Movies in the Park” event and fireworks will take place at Old Settlers Park Lakeview Pavilion and the Virg Rabb Pavilion(3300 Palm Valley Blvd.). Guests may still watch the fireworks from anywhere within the park.

Guests can arrive at 5:30 p.m. for movie trivia hosted by Time Warner Cable and games. Free watermelon also will be served by the Round Rock City Council members and the Round Rock Parks & Recreation Department. A pepper eating contest a second Rubber Duck Race, Sam Bass shootout, vendor booths and a performance by the Austin Symphonic Band will also take place. At 8 p.m. skydivers will fly into the festivities. Fireworks will take place at dark with the Time Warner Cable “Movies in the Park” presentation of Planet 51 and The Spy Next Door to follow.
