Girls of all ages, along with their friends and families, are invited to experience the American Girl Fashion Show at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at the DoubleTree Hotel Austin. The American Girl Fashion Show is hosted by the Austin Metropolitan Circle of Friends, a community-based organization that raises funds and awareness for Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. This fun, engaging program showcases historical and contemporary fashions for girls and their dolls.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.
More than 30 local models will present the fashions, while lively commentary, music and decorations will create a memorable experience for girls and their families. Audiences will delight in historical clothing, from daywear to sleepwear to special-occasion clothing that resembles what the popular American Girl characters Kaya, Felicity, Josefina, Addy, Rebecca, Kit, Molly and Julie might have worn. Contemporary “Just like You” outfits for older girls and sweet Bitty Baby fashions for little ones complete the program.
“The American Girl Fashion Show is an exciting and educational opportunity for young girls to peek into the past and learn how American girls throughout history have used fashion to express their unique style and personality,” says Wendi Baird, co-chairperson for the American Girl Fashion show.
The event also includes refreshments, American Girl door prizes, a silent auction, a photo opportunity for attendees and their dolls, hair styling for American Girl dolls, party favors, and a marketplace to purchase American Girl book titles and American Girl fashion show memorabilia.

Tickets for general seating are $40 per person, with a limited number of reserved seats available for $45 per person, and are for sale online. For more information, please visit the website or contact Wendi Baird.
