The Round Rock Public Library will host a reception for local photographer, Mark Zell whose work will be on display during the month of October. The reception will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7.
Most of the photographs in this exhibit were inspired by similarities of form—e.g., shape, tonality, line,—between disparate subjects. When three-dimensional subjects are translated to two-dimensional photographs, the equivalence in form between the subjects (such as clouds and concrete) becomes more apparent. The intent of this series of photographs is to encourage the viewer to perceive things in non-literal ways.
