Deep Ecology Workshop at the Library
The Work that Reconnects
Time:   9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Date: 4/16/2011
Location: Round Rock Public Library, Meeting Room B
216 E. Main St., Round Rock, Texas  78664 (Map)

In honor of Earth Day, the Round Rock Public Library will present The Work that Reconnects: An Experiential Workshop on Deep Ecology from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 16.

The Work that Reconnects is a workshop based on systems theory, deep ecology, and teachings from the world’s wisdom traditions. It stems from the work of Joanna Macy and has been offered in a variety of forms for over 30 years. Its central purpose is to help people uncover and experience their innate connections with each other and with the systemic, self-healing powers in the web of life, so that they may be enlivened and motivated to play their part in creating a sustainable civilization.

This event will integrate the use of poetry as April is also National Poetry Month. Please join us for this event and help us celebrate Earth Day 2011.

The workshop will be presented by Eric Towler, a staff member of the Library.

Call, 512-218-7000 to register for this free workshop.

For more information, please contact Eric Towler, (512) 218-7000.
