Classic Film Night at the Library

The Round Rock Public Library hosts a Classic Film Night program this month at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21.

Join us once a month for a screening of a classic film and popcorn.

Tonight's presentation is a biopic of composer/singer/dancer George M. Cohan.

Summary: Celebrate the fouth of July with this seldom seen musical portrait of composer/singer/dancer George M. Cohan.

From his early days as a child-star in his family's vaudeville show up to the time of his comeback at which he received a medal from the president for his special contributions to the US, this is the life- story of George M. Cohan, who produced, directed, wrote and starred in his own musical shows for which he composed his famous songs. 

Highlights include "Over There," "Give My Regards to Broadway," and the famous line "My mother thanks you, my father thanks you, my sister thanks you, and I thank you."
