The Penfold Theatre Company presents the comedy Servant of Two Masters at 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Aug. 4 to 21.
A special encore performance will be presented at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21.
When a man thought dead shows up at the house of his former fiancee, all sorts of madcap mayhem breaks loose! Filled with disguises, plot twists and Marx brothers-style slapstick, Servant of Two Masters is a laugh-out-loud comedy for all ages starring the beloved characters of commedia dell’arte.
Servant of Two Masters continues a new tradition of free summer theatre in Round Rock. “Penfold in the Park”, established last year with the company's rendition of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), is presented in partnership with the City of Round Rock Parks & Recreation Department and features nightly pre-shows by other local performing arts groups.
Families are welcome to picnic on the lawn. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase. Donations are also accepted.
Servant of Two Masters is the first production in Penfold's 2011-2012 season.
