The Greater Austin Area One Small Step for Prader-Willi Syndrome 5K Run/1K Walk will begin at 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 at Old Settlers Park.
One Small Step for Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) is a family fundraising event with all donations going toward Prader-Willi Research.
Participants who raise a minimum of $200 will earn a chance to win an xBox 360 with Kinect. For every $500 raised, participants earn one chance to win a trip for two.
Local drawings also will be held for fabulous prizes, including a trip to Los Cabos, Mexico. The more money you raise for PWS research, the more chances you have to win.
All participants who raise a minimum of $40 will receive one free event t-shirt
The 2011 Greater Austin Area One Small Step for Prader-Willi Syndrome is hosted by Stony Point High School International Baccalaureate and Health Science Academy Students.

Prader–Willi syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that causes skeletal abnormalities, obesity, reduced muscle tone and mental ability.
