The Round Rock Public Library presents a reception for artist Betty Jameson from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2.
The exhibition will be on display in the Library gallery from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30.
Betty Jameson is an award-winning artist whose work explores the theme of using objects as symbols for universal themes. She is a member of the Texas Watercolor Society. Her work has been exhibited widely throughout the U.S. and Wales.
Jameson says “the fluid ever changing character of watermedia is the essence of its attraction for me. I like to approach the artistic challenge in two ways. The first is to apply liquid colors to paper and let the resulting forms, and “happenings” suggest the direction, mood or subject of the painting. The second approach is to find a compelling subject and capture the essence of this vision while retaining a feeling of freshness and spontaneity."
