Round Rock, Paper, Scissors Book Group meets on the second Sunday of every month to discuss a chosen book. January's meeting will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8.

January’s selection will by That Used to Be Us by Thomas Friedman and Michael Mandelbaum, in conjunction with the Library’s programs for Financial Wellness Month. Read the book and join in the discussion!

In That Used to Be Us, Thomas L. Friedman and Michael Mandelbaum offer both a wake-up call and a call to collective action. They analyze the four challenges the United States faces — globalization, the revolution in information technology, the nation’s chronic deficits, and our pattern of excessive energy consumption —a nd spell out what we need to do now to sustain the American dream and preserve American power in the world.
