The Round Rock Public Library will host an exhibit of Debra Shore's paintings from Jan. 3 to 31. There will be an opening reception for the artist from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Thursday, Jan. 5.
Debra Shore began her formal painting instruction by studying with artist Elizabeth Locke of Austin Fine Art Classes for many years. She took workshops with well-known artists such as Ron Hicks and Quang Ho. She was fortunate to attend art study trips to many areas of France in the summers where she painted along-side other students in well-known areas where the old masters painted.
She now teaches art to elementary students in Round Rock, Texas where she learns something new every day. She works mostly with oil paints but also enjoys a variety of other media including collage and watercolor.
